In May 2024, steel production increased by 26.5% year-on-year – to 737.6 thousand tons, cast iron – by 8.3% (to 653.1 thousand tons), rolled steel – by 26.5% (to 594.9 thousand tons).
In Ukraine in January-May, steel production reached 3.14 million tons. This is 31.2%, or 747 thousand tons, higher compared to the same period last year. This was reported by Ukrmetallurgprom.
From the beginning of the year, the production of cast iron increased by 20.8%, or 489 thousand tons, to 2.84 million tons, and combined steel production – by 29.5%, or 586 thousand tons, to 2.57 million
