An additional cost for producers is the need to use generators and fuel to generate energy.

Bread prices may rise in Ukraine. In the near future by 10%, and then by 20%. This was announced on Sunday, June 9, by the President of the All-Ukrainian Association of Bakers Yuriy Duchenko, writes AgroPortal.

According to him, the cost of bread may increase as a result of the 25-30% increase in the price of freshly harvested flour and power outages.

“The shutdown for two hours changes the bread-making schedule by eight hours The recipe has an electricity component of 50 kopecks If the bread is made with a generator, this component will increase to 1 UAH 50 kopecks ,” he explained.

He named reservations as another problem in the industry.

“Due to the lack of people, some enterprises are changing their work schedule, reducing the volume and range of production,” Duchenko added.

In the past, the Ministry of Health suggested that manufacturers gradually reduce the salt content in bakery products.

At the end of April, consumer price growth in Ukraine fell to 0.2% from 0.5% in March, 0.3% in February and 0.4% in January.
