The average selling dollar exchange rate increased to 40.73 Hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate increased to 44.61 Hryvnia.
The hryvnia exchange rate fell slightly against the dollar and the euro on the cash market on the last working day of the week. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Friday, June 7.
Thus, the average selling dollar exchange rate added 10 kopecks and rose to UAH 40.73. Exchangers bought dollars for 39.98 UAH.
The average selling euro exchange rate increased to UAH 44.61. When buying, the average rate is 43.70 hryvnia per euro.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at 40.14-40.17 UAH per dollar (purchase/sale). Yesterday’s trade ended at these levels.
Last day, the National Bank increased the official dollar exchange rate after a three-day decrease to the level of UAH 40.1537 (+0.0283 UAH). The euro is worth 43.6270 UAH (+0.0187 UAH).
Earlier on Thursday it became known that in May, international reserves of Ukraine decreased by almost 8% – to $39 billion. This is due to the fact that the NBU spent more than 3 billion hryvnia to support the hryvnia. Another more than $600 million was spent on paying off debts.
The National Bank also explained the reasons for the growth of the dollar in May. According to the regulator, demand for foreign currency jumped 41% last month.
