He added that the priority areas for investment in 2024-2025 are employees, equipment and assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“We have three main priorities. The first is our teams. The second is the equipment and production areas. And the third is support for the Armed Forces. Especially in the cities where our businesses are located. These are Zaporozhye and Pokrovsk, located 40 kilometers from the front line and we must support the units protecting these cities,” said Mironenko.
According to him, in 2024 the company plans to invest $320 million in capital and about $350 million in operational investments in equipment and workplaces.

Mironenko also noted that since the beginning of the war Metinvest spent more than 6 billion UAH on humanitarian and military support to Ukraine, and now sends about 200 million UAH a month to build fortifications and maintain brigades from the Dnieper to Donetsk.
At the same time, he noted that currently the company cannot independently implement the previously announced project for the complete transition of Ukrainian enterprises to green metallurgy, estimated at $9 billion over 10 years, and therefore requires attracting external financing. However, this option is not currently available, so Metinvest is considering a joint project with the Danieli company to build a metallurgical plant in Italy.
