Ukrenergo announced the cancellation of the tender for the purchase of air conditioning systems “to prevent manipulation.” The company announced this in a statement on Thursday, June 6.

“Today, the tender for the purchase of air conditioning systems has been initiated by our purchasing department to cancel the procedure in accordance with the law. Our buildings and offices are not working,” said the message.
Ukrenergo says that the company’s service departments have started preparing a tender published in Prozorro for the replacement of split systems that are 16 and 13 years old in early 2024, when the energy system fully covers the consumer needs.
The purpose of this purchase is to ensure uninterrupted cooling of the technical rooms: the battery room and the elevator engine room, the company added.
“We buy everything strictly in accordance with the law and transparency rules, so the preparation of procedures takes some time. The announcement of this tender, unfortunately, coincides with the forced restrictions on energy supply due to the prevention of manipulation, the tender will be cancelled. We will repair the existing air conditioning systems to ensure the operation of the company’s technical infrastructure,” said Ukrenergo.
It is known that the tender procedure will continue once all the shutdowns have been lifted.
Ukrenergo also promised to review all current purchases of cooling devices.
The day before it became known that Ukrenergo announced a tender for the purchase of air conditioners. The expected purchase cost is approximately 630 thousand Hryvnia.
