Last year, there were no such permits and it was necessary to hire foreign carriers to take passengers to their destination in Greece, or transfer passengers to buses from other carriers.
Ukraine will receive 100 permits from Greece for non-regular bus transportation of passengers. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Sergei Derkach.
“We have agreed on permits for irregular transport in Greece Now we are talking about 100 permits for this type of passenger transport Two weeks ago we met with our colleagues in Greece in International Transport Forum in Leipzig Ukraine,” the message said.
It is reported that Ukrainian carriers will get them at the permit issuing points (PVR) of Ukrtransbezopasnost next week.
Derkach added that last year there were no such permits, and it was necessary to hire foreign carriers to take passengers to their destination in Greece, or transfer passengers to buses from other carriers, especially in Bulgaria.
“Now our carriers will have the opportunity to operate direct non-scheduled flights upon request,” said Derkach and added that the work to increase the number of permits will continue.
The official noted that Ukraine has enough regular routes to Greece, so passengers can easily buy a ticket and get to their destination, and tour operators can plan their work.
Earlier, Ukrzaliznytsia reported a significant increase in passenger traffic.
