In Ukraine, based on the results of the first quarter of 2024, the average salary increased by 22.5% compared to the previous year and amounts to UAH 18,903. This was reported by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
In the first quarter, the average wage in the Ukrainian economy reached UAH 18,903, which is 122.5% compared to last year.
The highest wage level in the information and telecommunications sector is UAH 49,473, which is 35.6% more than a year earlier; for workers in the field of finance and insurance activities – UAH 39,116 (+18.2%); for air transport – UAH 34,699 (+30%).
The lowest average salary is in the sphere of functioning of libraries, archives, museums and other cultural institutions – 11,063 UAH (+15.1%), for workers in the field of creativity, art and entertainment – 11,532 UAH (+13.6% ) and in the field education – 12,649 UAH (+14.4%).
The average salary in Ukraine increased by 17.5% over the year. In real terms, the average salary for 2023 remains 8.3% lower than before the full-scale war.
