The hryvnia exchange rate continues to decline for the second week in a row against the dollar on the cash market. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Monday, June 3.

Thus, the average dollar exchange rate on sale increased by another 8 kopecks – to 41.11 Hryvnia. Exchangers bought US currency for 40.56 hryvnia.
Meanwhile, the average selling euro exchange rate lost 1 kopeck and now stands at 44.88 Hryvnia. On purchase, the average rate is 44.30 UAH per 1 euro (+0.04 UAH).
In the interbank market, the American currency is at 40.56-40.58 hryvnia per dollar (purchase/sale). It is 3 kopecks lower compared to the previous banking day’s close.
Last Friday, the National Bank set the official exchange rate at 40.5373 UAH per 1 dollar (+0.0372 hryvnia). This is another record amount.
The official exchange rate of the euro today is UAH 43.985, and this is also another historical maximum.
We remind you that in the past two weeks the dollar has increased in price by more than one hryvnia. And in May its rate increased by 2.1% (from 39.66 UAH/dollar on April 30). Since the beginning of the year, the dollar has increased by 6.6% (37.98 UAH/dollar as of December 31, 2023).
Participants in the financial market believe that the main reason for the devaluation of the Hryvnia is the political decision of the NBU, whose time has come.
