The National Bank of Ukraine again raised the dollar-hryvnia exchange rate to a historic high. This is the fifth record for the week, according to data on the regulator’s website on Monday, May 27.

So, the official dollar exchange rate for tomorrow is set at 40.3012 UAH (+0.1859 UAH). The previous high was recorded on Friday at 40.1153.
The American currency is rapidly increasing in price and has already increased by 88 kopecks in a week – from 39.4272 UAH/dollar on May 20.
In turn, the euro exchange rate on Tuesday will be 43.7590 UAH (+0.2680 UAH). It’s also a new all-time high. The previous record was also set on Friday – 43.4910.
Today on the interbank market, the price of the American currency increased by 12 kopecks, up to 40.28-40.30 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the dollar exchange rate increased by 30 kopecks to 40.55 UAH/dollar.
Earlier, the NBU explained the increase in the dollar exchange rate by the continuation of international aid to Ukraine. This influenced the increase in budget expenditures.
And the Verkhovna Rada believes that the decrease in the hryvnia corresponds to the planned indicators included in the state budget of Ukraine.
