Moldovan President Maia Sandu signed a decree granting citizenship to some members of the Russian group Bi-2 and members of their families. The Newsmaker reported this on Monday, May 27.
“Our country is completely open to people who choose peace, glorify friendship between people and respect for different people. Members of the Bi-2 group were persecuted in Russia when they spoke out against war in Ukraine and Moldova is watching Our country provides help to those in danger,” said the head of the president’s cabinet, Adrian Belutsel.

In January, members of the Bi-2 group were detained in Thailand for not having work permits.
