The talks will focus on the risks facing the Ukrainian economy and the government’s economic policy goals, the Fund said.
The International Monetary Fund team, led by the head of the European Department of the IMF, Alfred Kammer, begins meetings in Kyiv with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities and other partners on Thursday, May 23. It is stated in the IMF press release.
As the resident representative of the IMF in Ukraine, Vahram Stepanyan, said, the talks will focus on the risks to which the Ukrainian economy is exposed, as well as on the goals of the government’s economic policy.
“After these meetings, the IMF mission led by Gavin Gray, starting on May 27, will start in Warsaw with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities to discuss economic policy issues related to application of the measures required for implementation in the context of the fourth revision of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF),” Stepanyan added.
Earlier, the Ministry of Finance said that Ukraine has fully fulfilled all structural beacons and other obligations under the EFF extended financing program from the IMF.
