The average cash dollar selling rate increased to UAH 40.00, and the euro exchange rate increased to UAH 43.45.
The hryvnia exchange rate falls against the dollar and the euro at the beginning of the new working week. RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to market monitoring data on Monday, May 20.
The average cash dollar selling rate increased by 10 kopecks, to 40.00 Hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate increased by 15 kopecks, to 43.45 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy a dollar for an average of 39.50 UAH, and a euro for 42.75 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency rate is at the level of 39.52-39.54 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 5 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
Remind us that the National Bank lowered the official exchange rate of the dollar against the hryvnia on Monday to the level of 39.4272 UAH (-0.0033 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 42.7549 UAH (-0.0903 UAH).
Over the past week, the dollar exchange rate has fallen in the interbank market. In turn, the NBU reduced the sale of foreign currency to $490 million, which is 8% less than a week earlier ($533 million).
In general, over the past week the official dollar exchange rate has decreased by 30 kopecks – from 39.72 to 39.42 UAH/dollar. In the cash market, the dollar fell below 40 hryvnia.
