The National Bank of Ukraine has again increased the exchange rate of the dollar against the hryvnia. And the euro exchange rate updated its historical record. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Tuesday, May 14.
Thus, the official dollar exchange rate for tomorrow is set at UAH 39.6799 (+0.0603 UAH). And the euro exchange rate will be 42.8305 UAH (+0.0810 UAH). This is a new all-time high. The previous record was recorded on May 10 – 42.8148 UAH/euro.
Meanwhile, on the interbank market, the American currency fell by 6 kopecks, to 39.64-39.66 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
And in the cash market, the dollar exchange rate increased by 10 kopecks, up to UAH 40.05.
We remind you that since the beginning of 2024, the hryvnia exchange rate against the dollar has fallen by 5.8%. The Verkhovna Rada said that it corresponds to the planned indicators included in the state budget of Ukraine.
Earlier, the NBU explained the increase in the dollar exchange rate due to the restoration of international aid to Ukraine. This influenced the increase in budget expenditures.
