The President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, will visit the Spanish capital, Madrid, on May 17 and will be received by King Felipe VI. This information was confirmed by the Royal Palace of Spain, writes Europa Press.
The monarch is scheduled to host a reception for Zelensky at 12:30 local time, followed by a meal in his honor an hour later.
It is not yet officially known whether the President of Ukraine will have other meetings in Spain.
Zelensky is also expected to sign a bilateral security cooperation agreement with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.
It was previously reported that the President of Ukraine will visit Madrid in the coming days and sign a bilateral security agreement with Spain.
As you know, on May 7, Ukraine and Spain agreed on the text of a security agreement. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez confirmed his participation in the Peace Summit.
