Russian missiles fly into power plants and transformers to leave all Ukrainians without electricity without exception, the athlete noted.
World heavyweight boxing champion Alexander Usik appealed to the international community with a request to help protect and restore the Ukrainian energy system from Russian terrorist attacks. The famous athlete published the corresponding video on Facebook on Monday, May 13.
According to him, Russian missiles fly into power plants and transformers to leave all Ukrainians without exception without electricity.
“These are attacks directed against the people, against their security and the security of this state that worries me personally, because my home and my family are there, which is also appreciated I among ordinary energy workers who are now restoring destroyed infrastructure for their work,” – said Alexander Usik.
The boxer promised to make every effort to support energy workers and help them provide light and heat to Ukrainians in winter.
“If I can help my countrymen so they don’t have to sit through the winter without light, heat and water, if I can draw the world’s attention to this threat, I will definitely do it. Thank God for everything and glory to Ukraine,” concluded Usyk.
We remind you that DTEK company and Rinat Akhmetov’s boxer Alexander Usik launched a joint campaign Fight for the light. Its purpose is to draw the world’s attention to the critical situation of the Ukrainian energy grid as a result of the Russian missile attack and to attract additional assistance from international partners to protect and restore it, as well as provide additional air defense systems for Ukraine.
Campaign Fight for the light began with the anticipation of the fight between Alexander Usik and Briton Tyson Fury for the title of absolute world champion, which will take place on May 18 in Saudi Arabia.
