Imported energy should ensure the ability to reduce the risks of consumption restrictions for industrial consumers.
The D.Trading company, which is part of the DTEK group, imported electricity four times to reduce the deficit in the Ukrainian energy system that appeared after the racist attacks. The company’s press service reported this on Friday, May 10.
“D.Trading responded promptly to changes in the balance of supply and demand in the energy system, significantly increasing the import of electricity from European countries. After the attacks on May 8, the amount of supply of imported resources from the company has increased almost four times ,” said the statement.
According to the company’s general director Dmitry Malyar, imported energy should provide an opportunity to reduce the risks of consumption restrictions for industrial consumers.
D.Trading added that in April the company’s share reached 32% of total electricity imports in Ukraine, and in March – 46%.
We remind you that on the night of May 8, Russian terrorists launched another attack on the Ukrainian energy system with more than 50 missiles and dozens of kamikaze drones. The air defense shot down most of the targets, but there were a few hits. Ukrenergo later announced that power outages were possible across Ukraine.
