In Ukraine, in January-April of this year, metallurgical enterprises increased revenues from the export of ferrous metals by 16.56% compared to the same period last year – up to $959 million. This is confirmed by data from the State Customs Service, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
It is noted that ferrous metals during this period accounted for 7.14% of the total earnings from exports of goods compared to 6.18% for January/April 2023. In April, earnings from exports of ferrous metals reached $207 million.
Also, Ukraine in January-April of this year increased imports of similar products by 25.8% – up to $454 million. In April, goods worth $131 million were imported.
In the four months of 2024, Ukraine reduced hardware exports by 8.1% – to $306 million. In April, they were exported for $77 million. Hardware imports during this period increased by 47.2% – up to $326 million. In April, $92 million worth of these products were imported.
We remind you that based on the results of April of this year, a new record was set for the export of goods from Ukraine.
It was also reported that in the 2023/2024 marketing year (from July 1, 2023 to May 1, 2024), Ukraine exported 41.365 million tons of grain and legumes.
