In Russia’s fifth shelling last month and a half, three DTEK thermal power plants were damaged.
Since the beginning of the mass war, DTEK power engineers have raised thermal power plants from scratch dozens of times after Russia’s massive shelling. This was announced by the General Director of the Energo company Ildar Saleev on Facebook.
According to him, yesterday’s attack on the energy system, where three DTEK thermal power plants were damaged, was the fifth in the last month and a half. The efforts of power engineers are aimed at restoring the stations.
“There are already 37 cases of power engineers raising stations from scratch and continuing their operation after decommissioning since February 2022,” Saleev said.
He added that while power engineers do their work, Ukrainians can help them by saving electricity. This is especially true during the morning and evening peaks: from 7:00 to 10:00 and from 18:00 to 23:00.
Ildar Saleev also published photos of repairs to damaged thermal power plants.

We remind you that on the night of May 8, the Russians launched more than 50 missiles and dozens of suicide bombs on energy infrastructure in six regions of Ukraine. The air defense shot down most of the targets, but there were a few hits.
Ukrenergo later announced that power outages were possible across Ukraine. For the second day in a row, power supplies to businesses and industries will be limited.
