The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine fell to 39.80 hryvnia, while the euro exchange rate remained at 42.90 hryvnia.
The hryvnia exchange rate continues to grow against the dollar in the cash market. RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to monitoring data on Tuesday, May 7.
The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine fell by another 5 kopecks to 39.80 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate did not change – 42.90 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 39.30 UAH, and euros for 42.20 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency rate is at the level of 39.34-39.38 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 8 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
Meanwhile, the National Bank of Ukraine lowered the official dollar exchange rate for the third day in a row – 39.3561 UAH (-0.0408 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 42.3983 UAH (+0.0624 UAH).
Let us remind you that in April in the cash market the dollar selling rate increased by 1.8% to UAH 39.64. By the end of the month, it rose above 40 UAH/dollar, but later fell slightly. The official rate updated historical highs and reached 39.78 UAH/dollar on April 22.
In this regard, the National Bank explained the increase in the dollar exchange rate last month.
