In the absence of government support programs, long-term contracting will allow domestic defense manufacturers to expand production using their own capital, the company’s head said.
The Ukrainian Armored Vehicles company will be able to increase the production of defense products significantly, subject to the conclusion of long-term contracts. The General Director of Ukrainian Armored Vehicles, Vladislav Belbas, announced this on the company’s official website on the social network Facebook.
According to him, in the absence of government support programs, long-term contracting will allow the company, like other domestic manufacturers of defense products, to expand production using its own capital.
“The company does not need any additional funds from the state to expand production, for example, in this case, we can increase production from our own capital order, even with some limited funds, we can organize and plan the process of production in advance, as the delivery of some parts takes more than 7-8 months,” he said.
According to Belbas, currently, for some types of weapons, Ukrainian production is comparable to Western ones.
“In some segments, for example, if we talk about mines, Ukrainian production is equal to Western production, but it is important that domestic enterprises pay taxes, fees and salaries to Ukraine, thereby supporting the Ukrainian economy,” added the head of the company.
Ukrainian armored vehicles manufacture Novator armored vehicles, 60, 82 and 120 mm mortars and mortar rounds for them.
Let’s recall that it was previously reported that Ukrainian armored vehicles increased production tenfold during the two years of the full-scale war in the Russian Federation, the company has dozens of sites throughout the country;
Last month, the company announced the successful testing of a 10-seat specialized Novator armored vehicle with a domestically produced Tavria-14.5 remote-controlled combat module.
