Ukrposhta reported an increase in net income of UAH 1.3 billion in 2023. This was reported by the company’s press service.
It is reported that in 2023, the national postal operator of Ukraine received UAH 11.6 billion in revenue, which is more than 12% more than in 2022 (UAH 10.3 billion).
It was noted that revenue from national postal services increased by 18% compared to 2022 and reached UAH 6.5 billion, including for the delivery of parcels and small packages – by 34%, international services of mail exchange – by 61%.
Among the significant factors that had a negative impact on the company’s financial performance, Ukrposhta named delays in the approval of regulated tariffs and fulfillment of free obligations to support the government’s social initiatives.
“Despite the military invasion, destruction, power outages, difficult economic conditions, in 2023 the company not only ensured uninterrupted operational activities, but also increased the amount of basic services provided and , accordingly, improved financial results, and prepared for future challenges during the war in Compared to 2022, the company’s net loss decreased by almost 37% and reached UAH 796 million,” the statement said .
It was also reported that in 2023, Ukrposhta continued to implement strategic investment projects, such as updating the logistics infrastructure, automating the network and strengthening its resilience to energy and communication losses, modernizing of the vehicle fleet and replacement of critical IT systems, the company added.
“Despite the current challenges, Ukrposhta increased net income, improved key operational indicators, fulfilled all financial obligations and paid almost UAH 3 billion in taxes to the budget of Ukraine,” said the company’s general director which is Igor Smelyansky.
Earlier it was reported that Ukrposhta will issue stamps dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the war in Ukraine.
