In Ukraine, preferential prices for electricity for the population will continue to be applied. Prime Minister Denis Shmygal announced this on Telegram on Friday, April 26.
“Today the government decides to extend the preferential price for electricity for the population – 2 hryvnia 64 kopecks per kilowatt We will leave this price unchanged The provision on assigning special responsibilities to participants in the electricity market has been extended to May 31.” he wrote.
Shmygal also said that this month a resolution was approved that maintains the preferential price of gas for suppliers of heat and hot water for the population until the end of summer.
“So is the state this week Naftogaz extended the preferential price of gas for the population. It will still be 7 UAH 96 kopecks. per cubic meter of blue fuel,” said the head of the government.
Earlier, the Minister of Energy German Galushchenko said that the Ukrainian authorities are considering the possibility of increasing electricity tariffs. This is due to Russia’s new attacks on the energy sector.
