Once the EU approves the Ukraine Facility Plan, Kyiv will receive the next payment of 1.89 billion euros.
Ukraine may receive a tranche from the European Commission for 1.89 billion euros in June. In order to do this, it is necessary for the European Union to finally approve the Ukraine Facility program. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy on Wednesday, April 24.
Today Ukraine received 1.5 billion euros as part of the Ukraine Facility transition financing.
“Transitional funding allows us to receive support even before the final launch of the Ukraine Facility. Under the program, Ukraine has already received 6 billion euros in March and April of this year. When the Plan for in the Ukraine Facility is approved by the EU, we will receive the next payment of 1.89 billion euros pre-financing in June,” said First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko.
In the future, funding under the program will be provided quarterly upon meeting the indicators of the Ukraine Facility Plan. According to him, the next tranche under the program is expected in September – for 4.11 billion euros, and in November – 4 billion euros.
Let’s recall that on February 1, EU leaders at a summit in Brussels agreed on a €50 billion support program for Ukraine called the Ukraine Facility. It is designed for the period of 2024-2027.
It is assumed that the receipt of funding for the Ukraine Facility will depend on Kiev’s implementation of the Ukraine Plan.
