Power supply to critical infrastructure facilities and defense enterprises will not be limited, Ukrenergo promises.
In Ukraine, the lights will be turned off for industrial consumers and businesses on Wednesday. Ukrenergo reported this on April 24.
“From 17:00 to 22:00, regulated restrictions on the supply of electricity to industrial consumers (power limit schedules) will be applied,” the message said.
At the same time, the supply of electricity to critical infrastructure facilities and defense enterprises will not be limited.
“Consumption restrictions for businesses and industrial enterprises will be equally distributed in all regions of Ukraine,” assured Ukrenergo.
It has been suggested that the energy supply limitation is a result of massive Russian missile and drone attacks on power plants. Also, due to worsening weather conditions in Ukraine, electricity consumption has increased significantly. There is still a lack of power in the energy system.
“We ask all consumers to consume electricity sparingly and industry and business should maximize the import of electricity and alternative sources of electricity,” the energy workers added.
Let us remind you that in recent days the lack of electricity in the Ukrainian energy system has increased. Ukrenergo was forced to attract emergency aid from Europe. And now it became known that the electricity consumption jumped by 10%.
