On January 1, the state-owned Sberbank had the largest number of branches – 1181. In addition, 601 bank branches were temporarily suspended.
As of April 1, there were 5,108 operating structural divisions of banks in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the year, their number has decreased by 30. This is confirmed by data from the National Bank.
In addition, 872 bank branches are in “temporarily suspended” status.

State-owned PrivatBank is in second place – 1127 branches. Another 76 were temporarily suspended.
Next, by a large margin, are the banks of foreign banking groups: Raiffeisen Bank (332) and UkrSibbank (223). The private bank FUIB closes the top five (222).

Let’s recall that by the end of 2023, solvent banks of Ukraine received 86.5 billion hryvnias in net income. This is almost four times higher than the figure for 2022 and 12% more than the results of 2021.
