The National Bank of Ukraine has increased the exchange rate of the dollar against the hryvnia to a new historic high. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Thursday, April 18.
The official exchange rate on the last day of the working week is set at UAH 39.6037. for 1 dollar (+0.0586 UAH). The highest rate was only on April 17 – 39.5737 UAH/dollar.
In turn, the euro exchange rate rose to UAH 42.2789 (+0.2227 UAH).
On the interbank market, the price of the American currency rose by 9 kopecks to 39.67-39.69 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the dollar exchange rate increased by 5 kopecks to UAH 39.85.
Earlier, the National Bank named the reasons for the recent increase in the dollar exchange rate. During the month, the exchange rate of the American currency updated records more than once.
