The average cash dollar selling rate increased to 39.85 hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate increased to 42.95 hryvnia.
The hryvnia exchange rate fell against the dollar and euro on the cash market. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Thursday, April 18.
The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine increased by 5 kopecks – to 39.85 Hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate increased by 10 kopecks – to 42.95 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 39.35 hryvnia, and euros for 42.25 hryvnia.
In the interbank market, the American currency rate is at the level of 39.62-39.64 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 4 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
The previous day, the National Bank of Ukraine lowered the dollar exchange rate against the hryvnia after a week of growth and reaching historic highs. The official rate is set at 39.5451 UAH per 1 dollar (-0.0286 UAH). One euro is worth 42.0562 UAH per 1 euro (-0.0660 UAH).
Earlier, the National Bank named the reasons for the recent increase in the dollar exchange rate. During the month, the exchange rate of the American currency updated records more than once.
