The regulator lowered the official dollar exchange rate, although the American currency rose slightly in price on the interbank market and at exchange offices.
The National Bank of Ukraine cut the dollar exchange rate against the hryvnia for the first time in a week after hitting a historic high. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Wednesday, April 17.
The official dollar exchange rate for tomorrow is set at UAH 39.5451 (-0.0286 UAH). In turn, the euro is worth 42.0562 UAH (-0.0660 UAH).
Today in the interbank market, the price of the American currency increased by 2 kopecks to 39.57-39.60 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
And in the cash market, the dollar exchange rate increased by 5 kopecks to UAH 39.80.
We remind you that yesterday the dollar stopped its record growth in Ukraine. Earlier, the National Bank named the reasons for the recent increase in the dollar exchange rate. During the month, the exchange rate of the American currency updated records more than once.
