UDP’s revenues continued to grow thanks to a single logistics service combining cargo with transshipment in Ukraine and Constanta.
For 2023, the net income of the state-owned company Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company (UDP) amounted to 719 million, the total amount of dividends for the previous year was 215.6 million UAH. This was announced by the General Director of the UDP Dmitry Moskalenko.
It was noted that the company paid another 140.6 million UAH to the budget, fully fulfilling its obligations to the state.
“The total amount of dividends for the past year was UAH 215.6 million More than all the years of existence of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company in total, since 2022, our team has paid taxes in the amount of more than UAH 1.06 billion,” said Moskalenko.
According to him, last year’s record profit for UDP was not related to high freight rates.
“The rapid demand for river transport remains in 2022. In 2023, the rates stabilized at a moderate level but UDP’s income continued to grow thanks to a single logistics service that combined cargo with transshipment in Ukraine and Constanta,” said the general director of the UDP.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine, together with international partners, is starting to modernize the river fleet of the Danube Shipping Company.
Let’s remember that, according to the head of the government Denis Shmygal, the total investment in the infrastructure of the Danube ports has reached about $100 million. 23 new cargo transshipment terminals were opened through private investment.”
