The bulk carrier Captain Leonidas left the port of Yuzhny with products from the Ukrainian metallurgical enterprise.
The ship Captain Leonidas, which is the largest ship to enter Ukraine since the beginning of the full Russian invasion, left the port of Yuzhny. This was announced by the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure on Saturday, April 6.
It is indicated that this Panama-flagged bulk carrier exported 195,700 tons of cargo.
“The length of this vessel is 300 meters, width – 50 meters, deadweight – more than 203 thousand tons,” the message said.
The ports administration clarified that the bulk carrier left the port of Yuzhny with products of the Ukrainian metallurgical enterprise.
Since August 2023, more than 36 million tons of cargo have been exported through the Ukrainian sea corridor. At the same time, 1,286 ships have passed through the corridor, exporting 25 million tons of agricultural products to countries in Asia, Africa and Europe.
Today another 135 vessels are waiting to approach the ports of Odessa, which should export 4 million tons of various cargoes.
