The National Bank of Ukraine sold $1.788 billion in the interbank foreign exchange market in March. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Sunday, March 31.

As for weekly currency sales, the regulator reduced it for the first time in four weeks – to $654.6 million. The NBU also got $1.95 million.

Let us remind you that in March the dollar exchange rate increased by about 1 Hryvnia. The official exchange rate of the NBU increased by 2.7% from 38.20 UAH/dollar on February 29 to 39.22 UAH/dollar on March 29. This happened despite the fact that the foreign exchange deficit in the interbank market was not as significant as end of 2023.
