The official dollar and euro exchange rate fell significantly on Friday. This trend continues for a third day after reaching a historic high, according to data on the National Bank’s website on March 29.

So, the official dollar exchange rate for Monday is set at UAH 38.9974 (-0.2240 UAH). In turn, the euro is worth 42.1601 UAH (-0.2069 UAH).
On the interbank market, the American currency immediately fell in price by 28 kopecks, to 38.98-39.00 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
And in the cash market, the dollar exchange accelerated its decline and fell by 15 kopecks, to UAH 39.45.
Let us remind you that in March the dollar exchange rate increased by approximately 1 Hryvnia. The official exchange rate of the NBU increased by 2.7% from 38.20 UAH/dollar on February 29 to 39.22 UAH/dollar on March 29. This happened despite the fact that the foreign exchange deficit in the interbank market was not as significant as end of 2023.
It was previously reported that last week the National Bank sharply increased sales of foreign currency. This is happening for the third time in a row.
