A port with a multimodal terminal may appear in the Transcarpathian region on the banks of the Tisa River. This was reported by local OVA on Friday, March 29.
“A state-owned enterprise approached OVA with a request to allocate a land plot for such a thing Administration of river ports“, said the message.
Prospects for the implementation of this project were discussed at a meeting with specialists from the relevant departments of the regional military administration, BUVR Tissy and border guards.
It is indicated that the river port and multimodal terminal may be the first objects of this type in Transcarpathia. Thanks to this, it is possible to organize international transport along the Tisza with access to larger rivers that are shocked.

The Tisza is one of the largest rivers in Ukraine and Europe. It is the left and longest tributary of the Danube. Its length is 966 kilometers. The river originates in the upper part of the Carpathians in the Ivano-Frankivsk region of Ukraine. The Tisza then flows through Hungary, Slovakia, Serbia and Romania.
Earlier it became known that a “dry port” will appear in Transcarpathia, which will help Ukraine to export agricultural products.
