In the interbank market, the American currency exchange rate is at the level of 39.10-39.15 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – a drop of 13 kopecks.
The hryvnia exchange rate slightly strengthened against the dollar and the euro on the cash market on the last working day of the week. It was reported by RBC-Ukraine in reference to tracking data on Friday, March 29.
The average selling rate of the dollar decreased by 5 kopecks, to 39.45 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate fell by 5 kopecks, to 42.95 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars on average for 38.95 UAH, and euros for 42.25 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency rate is at the level of 39.10-39.15 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – a decrease of 13 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
Yesterday, the National Bank reduced the dollar exchange rate against the hryvnia for the second day in a row after the historical high of UAH 39.2214 (-0.0059 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 42.367 UAH (-0.0750 UAH).
In general, in March the dollar exchange rate increased by about 1 Hryvnia. In particular, the official exchange rate of the NBU increased by 2.7% from 38.20 UAH/dollar on February 29 to 39.22 UAH/on March 29.
The growth of the dollar exchange rate occurs despite the fact that the foreign exchange deficit in the interbank market is not as significant as at the end of 2023.
Let us remind you that last week the National Bank sharply increased the sale of foreign currency. This is happening for the third time in a row.
