The drone fell on farmland on Bolshoi Brailovsky Island, the Romanian Ministry of Defense reports.
Fragments of the drone were found on a Romanian farm near the Ukrainian border. This was reported by the British television channel Sky News.
The Romanian Defense Ministry said the farm was located near the Danube on the southwestern edge of Ukraine.
Several army search teams went to Big Braila Island to investigate. Local residents said they heard a “strange noise” and also shared footage of a drone falling from the sky.
“On the night of March 28, fragments that appear to belong to an aerial device that fell on farmland on Bolshoi Brailovsky Island were discovered,” the report said.
The Romanian department, together with the special structures of the country’s defense system, public order and national security, is investigating the incident in accordance with special operational procedures.
Romanian media posted a video from the scene, recorded by local residents.
We remind you that in October last year, a drone also fell on the territory of Romania during the Russian air attack on the port infrastructure of Ukraine.
