Due to Ukrainian drone attacks, Russian refineries cut production, and exports subsequently fell.
In the past week, exports of diesel fuel and gasoline from Russian ports decreased by a quarter – to 703 thousand tons. Enkorr reports this with reference to data from A-95 Consulting Group.
It was noted that as a result of reduced production at Russian refineries due to Ukrainian drone attacks, supplies by sea decreased for the third week in a row.
The largest export diesel terminal Primorsk has been reducing shipments since the second half of February. Last week, 295 thousand tons of diesel fuel and gas oil were sent for export from the Baltic port, which is 44% less than four weeks ago. Diesel fuel enters Primorskoye through a pipeline that connects the refineries of Kirishi, Yaroslavl and Nizhny Novgorod. The latter was attacked on March 12, as a result of which half of the main processing capacity stopped.
Shipments of distillates from Black Sea ports remained at a constant level. At the same time, weekly exports of diesel fuel and gasoil from the port of Tuapse have fallen by half since production at the Tuapse refinery was suspended following a UAV attack in late January. In April, a reduction in diesel fuel supplies from the largest Black Sea port of Novorossiysk was expected. Since March 17, the Rosneft Syzran oil refinery, which is connected to the Syzran-Novorossiysk diesel pipeline, has not been processing raw materials. According to preliminary information, the plant should resume production at the end of March, but the time can be adjusted.
Since the beginning of the year, 14 Russian refineries have been attacked. The drone strike led to the biggest weekly increase in global oil prices of the year. It was also learned on Monday that the Kuibyshev Oil Refinery shut down its main unit after the March 23 attack.
