The Cabinet of Ministers allocated more than 5 billion hryvnias for the project to build water pipelines due to the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.
The Cabinet of Ministers allocated 5.15 billion hryvnias to the Reconstruction Agency from the Fund for Liquidating the Consequences of Armed Aggression to ensure the construction of major water pipelines. This was announced by the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk on Telegram on Friday, March 22.
“The State Agency for Reconstruction and Infrastructure Development is allocated from the fund for eliminating the consequences of armed aggression on an irrevocable basis 5 billion 149 million 677.013 thousand hryvnias (development costs) for a new budget program for financial support for the construction of the main water pipelines related to the need to eliminate the negative consequences associated with the destruction of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station,” he wrote.
The new edition contains an appendix on the procedure for the implementation of an experimental project for the construction of major water pipelines – List of items for the construction of major water pipelines and the amount of budget funds for their financial support.
It was previously reported that the main water supply system in the Dnepropetrovsk region, which should provide water supply for the cities affected by the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, is in the final stage of readiness.
As you know, on the night of June 6, 2023, Russian troops blew up the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, which caused large-scale flooding in the territories of the Kherson region and caused great environmental, economic and humanitarian damage to Ukraine.
