The leadership of the aggressor country of Russia is planning a massive army recruitment and preparing for covert mobilization, perhaps for actions to surround the city of Kharkov. This was reported by the publication Verstka on Friday, March 22, citing four sources in the Russian Presidential Administration, regional governments, as well as an official of the Defense Ministry.
“In the near future they plan to recruit at least 300 thousand people into the ranks of the Russian army. All of them will have to fight in Ukraine,” the message said.
It is said that those currently occupying the borders of the Russian Federation near Belgorod and Kursk will be sent to fight near Kharkov. They will be replaced by reservists and conscripts, who will be demobilized in less than a month. The latter was “persuaded by all means” to sign the contract.
As the publication notes, this is due to the fact that the rate of recruitment of volunteers in Russia has decreased significantly: according to one of the employees recruiting contract workers, since the fall the rate has decreased of 20 times – from 500-600 people per day to 20-30.
“Activity is declining worldwide,” said one of the interviewees.
That is why “the matter may not be limited to a call from reservists and former conscripts.” In Moscow, defense enterprises and budgetary organizations began to actively organize reservations for employees, and lawyers and psychologists, involved in the mobilization in the fall of 2022, continue work on military registration and enlistment office. Officially, all this is done in preparation for the planned conscription in the spring, but the sources of the publication call such actions “mobilization 2.0.”
“The next plan is Kharkov to protect the city. And this is possible only in the case of a siege. There are 300 thousand people missing. Therefore, everything is ready for mobilization 2.0,” said a source in the internal political block of the Russian Presidential Administration.
He assured that “no one wants to turn Kharkov into a second Mariupol,” on the contrary, there is an idea to make it a showcase of the fact that “the Russians know how to fight in a civilized way.”
“We are going there, to Kharkov. Roughly speaking, to the Svatovo region. Ours is being rotated there for the second time,” one of the officers of the Russian Airborne Forces told the publication.
Earlier on Friday it became known that Russia is creating a new group of troops of more than 100 thousand military personnel. The enemy may launch a new offensive in the summer. This was announced by the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Alexander Pavlyuk.
Let’s remember that by the end of 2024 in Russia it is planned to form two armies and 30 formations, of which 14 divisions and 16 brigades.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Denis Szmigal said that there is no need to mobilize 500 thousand Ukrainians, due to the rotations taking place on the front line.
