The average dollar selling rate decreased to 39.05 hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate decreased to 42.75 hryvnia.
The cash hryvnia strengthened against the dollar and the euro on the last working day of the week. RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to monitoring data on Friday, March 22.
The average selling rate of the dollar decreased by 15 kopecks to 39.05 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate fell by 15 kopecks to 42.75 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 38.55 UAH, and euros for 42.05 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 38.80-38.90 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – a decrease of 4 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
Last day, the National Bank reduced the dollar exchange rate against the hryvnia after its record growth to the level of UAH 38.9234 (-0.2165 UAH).
Today’s euro exchange rate is 42.4693 UAH (+0.0299 UAH). This is a new high. The previous one was on March 20 – 42.4641 UAH.
As you know, in recent days the dollar exchange rate has increased by about 1 Hryvnia. And the official exchange rate of the NBU on March 20 crossed the 39 hryvnia mark for the first time.
Meanwhile, the National Bank said that this situation in the foreign exchange market does not cause concern.
