Dollar and euro rates continued to rise significantly in price against the hryvnia on the cash market. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine in reference to tracking data on Wednesday, March 20.
The average dollar selling rate increased by 15 kopecks, to 39.35 Hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate also increased by 15 kopecks, to 43.00 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars on average for 38.85 Hryvnia, and euros for 42.30 Hryvnia.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 39.16-39.18 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 1 kopeck compared to the previous day’s close.
Remind us that yesterday the National Bank for the first time raised the official dollar exchange rate by more than 39 hryvnia – to the level of 39.1338 UAH. for 1 dollar (+0.1594 UAH). The previous maximum was recorded on March 19 – 38.9744 hryvnia per 1 dollar.
Today’s euro exchange rate is 42.4641 UAH (+0.0171 UAH), which is also the highest. The previous record was on March 19 – 42,447 hryvnias.
Let us remind you that last week the National Bank significantly increased the sale of foreign currency in the interbank market. In total, nearly $4.6 billion has been sold since the beginning of the year.
