The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine increased to UAH 39.20, and the euro exchange rate increased to UAH 42.85.
The hryvnia exchange rate continues to decline against the dollar and euro on the cash market. But these rates decreased, reports RBC-Ukraine, citing market monitoring data on Tuesday, March 19.
The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine increased by 5 kopecks – to 39.20 Hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate increased by 10 kopecks – to 42.85 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 38.70 UAH, and euros for 42.15 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency rate is at the level of 38.98-39.02 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 2 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
The previous day, the National Bank of Ukraine increased the exchange rate of the dollar and the euro to a historic maximum. The official dollar exchange rate is set at 38.9744 UAH (+0.1746 UAH). The previous maximum was recorded on March 18 – 38.7998 hryvnia per 1 dollar.
Today’s euro exchange rate is 42.4470 UAH (+0.2018 UAH). The previous record was on March 14 – 42.4183 hryvnia.
Let us remind you that last week the National Bank significantly increased the sale of foreign currency in the interbank market. In total, nearly $4.6 billion has been sold since the beginning of the year.
