The average dollar selling rate increased to UAH 38.95, and the euro exchange rate increased to UAH 42.65.
The exchange rate of the hryvnia against the dollar and the euro dropped significantly on the cash market at the beginning of the new week. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Monday, March 18.
The average selling rate of the dollar immediately increased by 20 kopecks to 38.95 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate increased by 10 kopecks to 42.65 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars on average for 38.45 UAH, and euros for 41.95 UAH.
In the interbank market, the dollar exchange rate is at the level of 38.81-38.84 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – a decrease of 3 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
Meanwhile, the National Bank today raised the dollar to hryvnia exchange rate to a historical maximum – 38.7998 UAH per 1 dollar (+0.1144 UAH). The previous maximum was recorded on March 14 – 38.7878 hryvnia per 1 dollar.
The euro exchange rate today is 42.2452 UAH (-0.0418 UAH).
Let us remind you that last week the National Bank significantly increased the sale of foreign currency in the interbank market. In total, nearly $4.6 billion has been sold since the beginning of the year.
