DTEK has announced the launch of four new coal faces

According to Ildar Saleev, General Director of DTEK Energy, the new longwalls are a guarantee of reliable operation of thermal generation throughout the year.

“We got through this winter mainly thanks to the well-coordinated, early and intensive preparations of all parties involved – engine builders, miners and electrical engineers. We are already laying a reliable foundation for next winter “The new longwalls are a guarantee of stable coal production and, accordingly, reliable operation of thermal generation throughout the year, especially during consumption peaks and the upcoming heating season,” he said.

The company added that last year 26 new coal faces were put into operation, and investments in Ukrainian coal mining amounted to about UAH 7 billion (almost twice as much as in 2022).

It was previously reported that just at the beginning of the year, DTEK thermal power plants increased their electricity generation.
