Fuel prices on the Russian stock exchange continued to rise after two major oil refineries suspended operations following a drone attack.
In the Russian Federation, the price of A-95 fuel, following the results of the trade on March 13, increased by more than 60 thousand rubles per ton for the first time since the end of September 2023. Russian media reported this with relation to data from St. Petersburg Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange.
It was noted that during the day the price of A-95 gasoline rose by another 1.88% – up to 60.57 thousand rubles per ton. The last time the cost of this type of fuel rose above 60 thousand rubles per ton was on September 29, 2023. At that time, fuel prices in Russia rose to a record level due to changes in the system of subsidies for the cost of fuel in the domestic market, and the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has publicly shifted the responsibility for this to the government.
On March 13, A-92 fuel rose in price by 1.31% to 48.18 thousand rubles per ton. Also, prices for various types of diesel fuel and fuel oil increased by 0.79-1.69% per day.
