The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has information about the damage to at least one long-range radar detection aircraft of this type. This was reported by NV on March 13, citing intelligence sources.
Since the beginning of 2024, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have already destroyed two Russian A-50 aircraft. The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, said at the end of February that Russia now has only six such aircraft left in flying condition.
Let us remind you that on the night of March 9, drones attacked the Beriev aircraft plant in the Russian Taganrog. After the raid, the A-50 plane, which had been stationed near the buildings nine days before the attack, disappeared.
OSINT analysts from Frontelligence Insight suggested that at the time of the injury, the DRLV could have been under repair in one of the hangars. Satellite images showed visible damage to one of the buildings, as well as signs of arson on the roof of the hangar, indicating a fire.
