Russian Gazprom filed a claim with the Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region against the Polish oil concern Orlen SA regarding the recovery of $935 million. The amount claimed includes 710 million dollars and 886 million Polish zlotys. This was reported by the propaganda news agency Interfax.
The defendants in the case, in addition to the parent company Orlen, are also the owner of the Polish section of the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline EuRoPol GAZ SA, as well as Ernst and Young Global Limited (UK) and Ernst and Young sp. z o. o. Corporate Finance Sp. k. (Poland).
The court accepted the application and set a preliminary hearing for April 10.

In 2023, the Polish authorities transferred the share of Gazprom to EuRoPol GAZ on the balance sheet of the company itself. Full control of the company belongs to the Polish oil concern Orlen, with which the gas company PGNiG was previously merged.
