The government of Ukraine has fulfilled all agreements to avoid blocking Polish carriers.
The government of Ukraine has fulfilled all agreements to avoid blocking the border of Polish carriers. The press service of the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure reported this on Tuesday, February 27.
“We are receiving signals that the carriers are also joining the blockade of the Polish farmers. The latter suspended their protest after the agreements with the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure. Some of these agreements are agreed points of our Ministry. We kept our word and fulfilled everything we promised,” – said the Deputy Head of the Department Sergei Derkach.
It was noted that the Polish side is “doing everything in its power” to prevent the carriers from renewing their protest. At the same time, even without a carrier strike, more than 2,000 trucks currently remain blocked in Poland.
The Ministry of Infrastructure reported that they asked the European Commission to speed up the preparation process for the extension of the transport visa-free regime for Ukraine.
We remind you that Polish carriers plan to join farmers and continue protests at the Ukrainian border on March 1.
Polish farmers’ protests continue on the Ukrainian border. Prime Minister Denis Shmygal proposed a five-step “Plan of Understanding” with Poland, designed to unblock the border amid protests by Polish farmers.
