During the week from February 12 to 18, DTEK’s repair and restoration teams restored electricity supply to 83 settlements in Donetsk and Dnepropetrovsk regions, where damage was recorded as a result of shelling by the Russian army. The company’s press service reported this on Monday, February 19.
“Last week, the Dnipropetrovsk region was subjected to severe shelling. As a result of the attacks, networks and equipment were damaged. Within a week, electrical engineers managed to restore power to 74 thousand houses in the Dnipropetrovsk region,” the message said.
In the Donetsk region, damage to electrical networks and substations due to active fighting was also recorded. There, energy workers restored power supplies to 42 thousand households.
“DTEK power engineers are doing everything possible to eliminate the damage as soon as possible, and start work as soon as they receive permission and access to the place of damage from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service,” added energy company.
It was previously reported that in the first month of 2024, DTEK restored electricity supplies to 713 thousand consumers who were left without electricity as a result of shelling by Russian terrorists in Kyiv, Kyiv, Donetsk, Odessa and Dnepropetrovsk regions. During the week from February 5 to 11, the company’s repair teams connected with 123 thousand consumers after the Russian shelling.
