The American currency is rising in price for a fourth day, but the rate of growth has slowed significantly.
The National Bank of Ukraine raised the dollar exchange rate to a new high since the beginning of January. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Wednesday, February 14.
So, tomorrow the official dollar exchange rate is set at UAH 38.1734. (+0.0470 UAH) is the highest figure since January 11 (38.1923 UAH). The dollar is rising in price for the fourth consecutive day, but the pace has slowed significantly.
In turn, the euro fell slightly in price – to UAH 40.8684 (-0.2528 UAH).
In the interbank market today, the exchange rate of the American currency did not change – 38.14-38.16 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the dollar rose by 10 kopecks to 38.40 UAH/dollar.
Let’s remember that last week the dollar was relatively stable. And the National Bank for the sixth time in a row reduced the sale of foreign currency in the interbank market – to $201 million. This is the lowest volume since the beginning of April 2023.
