The share of new cars in BEV registrations was 24% compared to 23% in January 2023. The bulk of electric vehicles registered in the month were passenger cars.
In January, the Ukrainian car fleet was filled with more than 3.5 thousand battery-powered vehicles (BEV). The demand for electric vehicles increased 2.8 times compared to the same period last year. This was reported by the Association of Ukrainian Automobile Manufacturers Ukravtoprom.
It was noted that the share of new cars in BEV registrations was 24% compared to 23% in January 2023. The majority of electric vehicles registered in the month were passenger cars – 3,490 units. (new – 840 pcs., used – 2650 pcs.). Of the 54 commercial electric vehicles, only four are new.
Among the market leaders in January 2024:

The top five used electric cars registered for the first time in Ukraine include:

VOLKSWAGEN iD.4 – 169 units.
It was previously reported that the market for electric cars in Ukraine has almost tripled over the year.
At the same time, the global growth rate of electric vehicle sales has slowed.
